In Paraguay, the most unpleasant months are in the summer from October to March, when the mercury climbs to well above 35°C on a normal basis. Winter is from June to October, and these months see much more pleasant weather. The daytime temperatures stay close to 22°C, there are only a few cold days, and this is when the Antarctic air pushes up from the south. June, July and August are the driest months, which results in attracting the most visitors.
Regional weather differs in Paraguay, with normally cooler and wetter conditions in the east, while the Chaco area in the north is consistently drier and warmer. Given that vacationers are sparse in numbers in the winter months it is extremely quiet at this time. So depending on what your desire is this may be the perfect time for you to explore Paraguay. Do take note that if you travel during June, July or August make reservations in advance, because hotels in the capital can fill up rapidly.
