Best Time to Travel to Faroe Islands

The main time for tourism is summer, from June to August, when days are eternally long, the weather moderately acceptable, and most tourist amenities open. If traveling in the winter you need to prepare for storms, daytime darkness and reduced service in most hotels and museums. Booking is always wise if you to arrive when the Norrona ferry is in port. The end of July is by far the best time to visit, as you will catch the Ólavsøka festivities.
