Best Time to Travel to Czech Republic

There are numerous things to do in the Czech Republic any time of the year. For example if you want to do some outdoor sightseeing the best time to go is between early May and late September. Even though some monuments and museums are open year round, during the summer months there are a range of associated events taking place at castles and chateaux that are necessary to see. April and October are short-term periods for sightseeing, when you can enjoy a more serene atmosphere, however you should expect cooler weather, around 10°C. July and August are the most popular months of school holidays and vacations and the amount of tourists is higher, during these months the temperatures normally rise above 30°C.

If you are more of a winter outdoorsman and want to take part in the winter sports, then the mountains are usually covered with snow from December to March. Temperatures in these mountains through those months are continuously below zero, sometimes dropping as low as -20 or -30°C. Any time of year would be perfect it all depends on what you like to do, the warmer days lasts from July through August, spring is April through June, fragrant and colorful autumn is generally from September and October, or the cold winter averages from mid-November to March.
