Best Time to Travel to Cambodia

The perfect months to be in Cambodia are December and January, when the humidity is tolerable, temperatures are cooler and it's not likely to rain. From early February temperatures start to increase until the killer month of April, when temperatures often surpass 40°C (104°F). In May and June, the southwestern monsoon brings rain and elevated humidity. The wet season is from mid-May through October, despite the fact that this time of year is extremely soggy, it can be a decent time to visit Angkor, and this is the time when the moats will be full and the foliage abundant. Except avoid the northeast regions during those months, as this is the time when the tracks are waterlogged. The country's largest festival, Bon Om Tuk, is held in early November, and is well worth catching.
