Tanzania may be visited throughout all the seasons. The typical tourist seasons are in July and August, when the weather is cool, and the dry season parks like Tarangire are at their peak; and again in December and January, when it is warmer. However, keep in mind in order to catch the Serengeti at its finest you want to keep away from the height of the dry season when practically all the animals go to Kenya. Be equipped if you are heading into the wet season from March throughout May, because many roads, predominantly on the south coast will become too soggy to drive on. Inland on the highlands, rain through the middle of the year is minor and temperatures drop slightly but comfortably.
