For the majority of the São Tomé region, conditions are your typical equatorial steady heat and humidity, all through the year. Daytime temperatures are always around the 29°C (84°F) point with a brief dry spell from June to September, when temperatures linger around 28°C (82°F). The remainder of the year is humid and hot, this time of year would not be a good time to visit, between the heat and rain it will be a miserable vacation. Temperatures increase to around 30°C (86°F) in March that is also the wettest month. Several microclimates also exist, particularly on São Tomé Island, where the north has a drier, savannah-like climate and the south receives much more rain, even during the dry season.
