The main tourist season for Kenya is in the months of January and February, because the hot, dry weather this time of year is usually considered the most enjoyable. This is also the time when Kenya's bird life congregates to the Rift Valley lakes in groups. June through September may be called the 'shoulder season' as the weather is still dry. The rain falls on average from March through May. During this time, things are quieter, and places will tend to have rooms vacant and prices will be cheaper.
